Álvarez y Marín Corporación, S.A. was established on the 21st of June 1982 by Antonio Álvarez Desanti and Nuria Marín Raventós. During ist initial years the company participated in small and medium size enterprises, engaged in planting and distributing roasted peanuts and cashew nuts, footwear production,  furniture distribution and wood trim, it was also active in finance sector and in some small construction projects.

These experiences pave the way to learn about production and has led to expansion and growth to what the company has become today. Thanks to the progressive vision of the founders and the high professional  way of working of our teams, we now exist out of 4 divisions: agricultural exports, finance, real estate and tourism.

Due to our business philosophy we will continue to grow with excellence and a social responsibility.

Founders

The Presidency of the Corporation is occupied by founder Antonio Álvarez Desanti, Law graduate from the University of Costa Rica and a Master in International Taxation from Harvard University.

The Vice Presidency is occupied by founder  Nuria Marín Raventós, Law graduate from University of Costa Rica and a Master in Liberal Arts (Government) from Harvard University.
