Grupo Calinda was founded in June 1992 with the agricultural development of Bananera Calinda, S.A. Since then we have grown steadily to become the second largest group of independent banana producers in the country. Our group consists out of five banana farms: Bananera Calinda, S.A. (1992), Bananera Las Valquirias, S.A.(2000), Banana Támesis, S.A. (2002), Bananera Córsega, S.A. (2007) and Bananera Continental S.A.(2010). The group owns 1909 hectares of production and generates more than 1,000 direct jobs. Together with other groups of the region we established the commercialization company Tropical Fruits Trading Company with which we have maximized our performance, however we continue to maintain excellent relations with the global operating companies Dole and Del Monte.
